Once installed, you need to 'register' with our VoIP gateways using the soft phone and your SIP username and password.

Using the image to the right as an example, the SIP username is 0014*0005 and the Host Name or VoIP server is DVS01SAIS.

When logging in with your own soft phone and SIP account, use your own unique SIP username and password.

Always leave the Host Name on DVS01SAIS, unless told otherwise by our support staff.

Your SIP username and password were included in the email you received after purchasing your account. Our SIP usernames always start with 0014* and then your unique extension number.

When logging into our SIP gateways with the soft-phone, please make sure that you use your SIP username and password and not your control panel username and password.

Your login credentials for your VoIP control panel may differ from your SIP login details. Typically, the password is the same but the username is not. Please be sure to read all the emails you received in order to access your account without any problems.

Please note the following regarding our SIP VoIP platform:

• Our SIP accounts can be used on many different VoIP phones, telephone adapters and software SIP clients.
• Your hardware device or software client must support either the g729a (preferred) or g711 voice codec in order to make calls.
• Your network or home firewall must understand SIP to open the dynamic UDP ports used by RTP or have DMZ facilities.
• The ideal packet size or codec rate, from our testing, is 20 - 40ms. If your device supports a custom value, please be sure to set this.
• Our platform supports SIP on port 5060 and RTP ports 16385 - 32000. If your device supports a custom value, please be sure to set these
